The day my dad left...

Hello, my name is Sadie (my mom and dad call me Sadie Poo and Sadie Poo Bear, or just Bear sometimes). I was born 6/20/08. I am not quite sure of my background because I am from an animal shelter down here in North Carolina. I'm pretty sure I am a mix of just about everything, beagle, terrier and my dad thinks a little bit of great dane (my mom disagrees but I'm whatever he wants me to be). I was very lucky to be adopted by my parents in September because I was ready for a loving home where I could have lots of fun. They love me very much and give me all the love and attention I need.

My daddy is in the Army and he left on Friday for what my mom says is a little while. The picture on the left is my dad hugging me for the last time before he left. My purpose in making this blog is to show my daddy how much fun I'm having with mom while he's away. I just want him to know that we're ok even though he's not here and that I'm still a happy healthy puppy and mom is taking care of me really well. I'm glad I got here when I did because now mommy has someone to play with and love while dad's gone.

The day after my dad left, mom and I didn't really know what to do because he's always around on the weekends and he likes to hang out with us and play. Mom talked to her friend Laura and we wound up going to the dog park! I had SO much fun! I saw so many different dogs there I was in awe. I am still a little shy around big dogs but I made friends with a boxer and Laura's dog Bruce (I have met him before but I was a little more playful this time.

This is a picture of Bruce, myself and a boxer at the dog park. I had such a great time! I can't wait for dad to come home so he can come see me run around with all the crazy dogs there. I was EXHAUSTED at the end of the day. Mom was sort of upset with me because I had just gotten a bath earlier in the week and I got a little bit dirty. There was a big mud puddle and I walked through it a few times (sorry mom). She doesn't like it when I get dirty because I'm wearing white, whatever that means.

My mommy was so upset when my dad left that her brother came out to visit us from Charlotte with his girlfriend, Arienne. I was so excited to see them again! I haven't seen them since we went out to Charlotte for a NASCAR race. Here are some pictures from the fun we had!

But, I am getting really sleepy so I'm going to go to bed. But first, I wanted to let dad know that I love him and miss him. Mom and I are just fine here but we can't wait to hear from him!!
