Happy 2009 -- What a week!

Wow! Sorry it has been so long since I updated. Happy New Year!! I can't believe I'll be 1 year old this year! Mom says maybe when I turn one I can stop being a brat. Don't tell her I said this, but I don't think I'll ever stop being a brat!

Mom and I drove home to North Carolina last Saturday. I accidentally chewed through a christmas stocking (mom was not happy). I guess it wasn't an accident, you try being in a car for fourteen hours and being well behaved! Oops. Other than that little "issue" mom and I made it here safely and it is pretty nice to be home. I couldn't dig any holes in Massachusetts. Trust me, I tried but the ground there is really COLD and HARD! I can't remember if I put any pictures of me in the snow so here's a fun one! I loved the snow but am happy that I don't have to deal with it all the time.

On Sunday mom took me to petsmart to get my nails clipped. She said I was such a good girl I could pick out any toy in the store that I wanted. After jumping on a few innocent people and pulling mom around, I picked out a cute little alligator. Mom told me it can be my car toy when I'm on my way to daycare and whenever she has me in the car. It's a sturdy alligator too. I've been trying to bite a hole in the tail but I am having a really hard time. Oh! The first picture is Nala and I on the way to get our toes done!! She's a really cool dog but her teeth are a little crooked. I think when I get bigger, we'll be good friends!

Earlier this week, I went to daycare. I love going there. Unfortunately, Bruce wasn't there this time but there were some other nice dogs there. Mom dropped me off nice and early and then I played ALL day! I was so excited to see mom at the end of the day that I accidentally pee'd on the floor. Here is a nice picture mom took of me on the way home. It is always so funny to be in the car with her because she's always taking pictures!! Don't worry dad, she waits to break out the camera at stoplights.

What else what else what else..Bruce came over with Laura and Steph on Wednesday to watch the people's choice awards. We had tons of fun! It was our first real date. Sorry dad, your little puppy bear is growing up!

Tonight I'm just hanging out chewing on my rawhide toy. Mom won't let me chew on the couch anymore because it is hard to clean so she's been sitting on the floor with me a lot so that she makes sure I have plenty of attention. She promised me that tomorrow we're going to go get me a new crate. I'm a little big for this one. Maybe she'll make this crate my travel crate because I can't imagine a bigger crate in the back of her car! I can't believe how big I've gotten. I can't wait for dad to come home and see me. Mom told me they've been talking about him coming home and I am just SO excited. I can't wait for all of the fun we're going to have! I could just go run around in circles in the backyard because I am THAT excited!!

Well I am going to get to bed, I am going to go on some pretty long walks this weekend so I can burn off some energy. Mom said once it starts getting lighter out she's going to take me on walks every day after work!

Ok, I am really tired now.

Merry Christmas and more!

Christmas SB Here!!!

Merry Christmas! I hope everyone had a great day with family and friends! I had a really nice ride up to Massachusetts with mom on Wednesday night. Dad wouldn't be too happy if he knew that we left at 8pm after she worked all day (well, I guess now he knows). Traffic wasn't as bad as I remember it being on Thanksgiving though so I think we made out pretty well. Mom was happy she only had to take me out twice. When I got to Gammabear and Gampabear's on Wednesday, they whisked me out of my crate and started playing!!! I was so excited to be around Angel, not so much Tina, but Angel.

Thursday was CHRISTMAS! I didn't know one day could be so much fun! I got presents from Uncle Matt!! Then mom went to Dad's parents house and I got TREATS (mm mmmmm!!!!) hand-made too! Here is a picture of one of my new toys. It's a super heavy toy (when I shake my head, mom yells because she's scared its going to fly out of my mouth and break something here). I think they are tired of me ripping apart toys. OH DAD! Guess what?! I got Tina back! You know how she was laying on my pillow and we couldn't figure out what to do? Well, I've singlehandedly ruined every single toy in the toy box (minus the ones that the pugs really love..I'm not that mean). I've even gone through Tina's favorite bone, you know, the little blue one with the nubby's?


I had my first taste (literally) of snow this past week! Don't worry, mom made it clear to stay away from the yellow looking snow. She told me that was pee! We're supposed to get a snow storm on Wednesday too! I've never seen snow falling but on the ground its pretty cool! I thought there was something weird when the ground was a different color than it is down in North Carolina. I asked mom because I couldn't remember it being so bright when I was here last. She told me it was snow! Here I am walking around! I think I look pretty in this one. Mom told me to let everyone know that I'll post a picture of me when its snowing.

That's about all from me tonight, I've just been having so much fun playing and going on walks! Mom asked me to put a picture of her Christmas roses from dad! He sent her a dozen beautiful red roses on Christmas Eve! I haven't seen mommy that happy since before dad left! She thought it was really really nice!

Weekend 3..the "usu"

SB here!

I've had a long weekend. It has felt like an entire puppy YEAR! Mom had to work a lot this weekend so I didn't really get to play all that much. But, I thought I'd give you a look at what we do every single night!

1. I chew on my bone (you can see it in the first picture).

2. I bite mommy. Well, I guess I nibble. I am out of that young puppy stage where I bite. If I do bite, I really don't mean it.

3. I crawl around like dad taught me!4. I miss dad :(

Anyway, I am going to get going..just wanted to say hi!

Doggie DAYCARE = A+!

SB here! Look look look!!! I got an A+ at puppy daycare today! Mom was SO proud of me! She was too lazy to scan my puppy pictures from today so she took a picture of them instead. I was playing with my little pug friend in this one (she looks like Tina and Angel...sort of!)! The second one I'm alone and this is the one they posted on the wall at daycare with all the other dogs in my play group! I can't WAIT to go back!!

Mom said we need to leave a little earlier next time because she was really late to work (oops!). I can't wait for dad to come see the place! He's going to be so impressed that something that cool exists down here!

When I got home, I wasn't even scared to be in my crate! I knew mom wasn't going to lock me up after all the fun I had! I was just told I was going to wind up going in the crate though because I started to get a little crazy again (I'm sleepy and I get a little hyper)...I think she's trying to discipline me so when dad gets home he's not like what happened to my angel puppy? I'm selectively listening...hmm

I might have been playing all day, but I'm ready to go again!!!! BALL BALL BALL!

Mom is SO good to me!

Mom promised me she'd take me to puppy daycare and tomorrow is THE day!! I am super excited! I hope I meet lots of puppy friends so I can get rid of some energy during the day. Mom said if things work out she'll start taking me twice a week! That means 4 out of 7 days I am going to be hanging out ALL DAY!

So excited!! They say I'll be getting a puppy report card tomorrow too...mom is starting to stress me out because she told me I need all A's! I wonder what dad would say?

Oh! I thought I'd show you a picture of when I was a tiny puppy. I think I had been home for 2 days when mom took this picture. See?! I have loved the computer since I met them! I was born to write about what I do during the day!

Weekend #2

Hi again, SB here!

I'm getting quite the following here on this website! I am pretty excited because now everyone can see what mom and I are up to! It's great because it keeps me busy and then mom proof reads for me so it keeps her busy and it keeps everyone else busy because they get to read about all the fun we're having!

I mentioned yesterday that I went on a walk with mom. I had a pretty rough start (ask mom) sort of bouncing all over the place but when I got into it, I really did! I had a great time! Mom said we walked about a mile which is a long time for my little puppy legs. I got home and was pretty tired but still wanting to play!

There are only 9 more days before mom and I drive to MA for Christmas! I think its going to be a great break for mom because I imagine it is kind of hard to keep me busy all the time. Her mom and dad love to play with me too...so I'll get a WHOLE week up there this time. When we went home for Thanksgiving with Dad, we were only there for 3 days. I wish dad was going to be there with us. I haven't forgotten about him. There are some mornings when I forget that he left and I cry infront of the bedroom door. Mom yells to me when I do that, I run to her and then she gives me a hug and says daddy will be home soon. She's been saying "soon" for over a week now so I wonder when soon is going to be here. This feels like a really long time in puppy days.

Mom found a weird scab on my shoulder blade today..she's sort of worried about it. But, I am a puppy! I just told her "ma - I probably ran into something and didn't realize it..stop freaking out" you know her though, she's googling all of these crazy dog diseases and she even diagnosed me with ringworm! She told me I needed to go to the vet tomorrow but I told her we should wait to see how it heals. I think that because I'm calm about it, she is a little bit more calm. It really doesn't bother me! I wonder what I did though?? That would make for a good puppy mystery! Maybe I'll write dad a mystery book about my little wound?

Well, I think its about time for me to get to bed (its never bedtime for me...mommy is just tired).

Dad if you're reading, I miss you. OH! I learned a new trick!! Every time I get a drink, I run to mom and burp in her face! Dad, aren't you proud!? Mom says that isn't very lady like but I know dad would be laughing if he was here. Maybe mom will catch it on tape one of these days.
